Typhoid Immunization
Typhoid is endemic in this area and besides being very debililitating, it can cause death. immunization is to be repeated every three years per the Center for Disease Control (www.CDC.gov).
Typhoid shots will be given at the LCS on April 9th and 10th at a cost of 250 pesos. The vaccine is by an American manufacturer. Please sign up at the LCS Service Office so enough vaccine will be available.
Osteoporosis Testing
Our semi-annual session of bone density testing will be held on Thursday, April 12th, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Please sign up in order of appointments, which are at five-minute intervals. This is not for women only. The fee is 250 pesos, a portion of which goes to the Casa de Ancianos, which has many foreign residents.
